hmm i just watched the rerun of the world cup opening on channel 5.
For some reason i felt something when i saw the players from the winning teams of the previous world cups, watching those old people who are part of some team as far back as 1958 (maybe i got the year wrong) walking and waving to the audience. It's hard to imagine they were once talented soccer players who...played soccer really well.
This is so weird cus im hardly into soccer, knows nearly nothing about it yet watching these ex-winners makes me feel so happy. Maybe i simply felt happy for them. I mean, imagine the things they've been through and how proud they must feel when making a special appearance at the opening of the world cup.
It was strangely inspiring. Makes you want to go out, pursue your dreams and one day after having accomplished everything you make a special appearance at some grand ceremony and gain worldwide recognition and respect. After that you can just retire and LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER. IT'S PERFECT!
and I SAW PELE! The brazil soccer legend guy or something like that. i expected him to look like some body builder or something like that, but he's actually quite short. he looks friendly though.
Last but not least, June 10 (i know it's 11th now since it's 1:01am but who cares this post was intended for june 10 =D )will be marked the day when I posted a somewhat serious-sounding post on my blog.
